The Information We Gather

Netball Fun gathers two types of information about users:

• that which users provide through voluntary submissions. For example, requests to receive our electronic newsletters, participation in our message boards and forums, and participation in polls and surveys all constitute voluntary submission.
• that gathered through aggregated tracking, or monitoring of page views throughout our sites. This technology is no different to that used on most other sites, and cannot be used to personally identify you; we do not place cookies or other files onto your computer. This information is solely used to allow us to tailor our content to readers’ needs and to help our advertisers and sponsors gain an understanding of the demographics of our audience. Our revenue is mainly from sponsorship and advertising sources, and thus collating such aggregated demographic data is essential to keeping our service free to users. Under no circumstances will we ever divulge your personal information to a third party.

Use & Sharing Of Information

Netball Fun uses any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience in our network of sites, whether to provide interactive or personalised elements on the sites or to better prepare future content and features.

As stated above, we use information that is voluntarily provided by users in order to send out electronic newsletters and create polls, surveys, message boards, and forums. We may send out newsletters to subscribers (who have opted into the service based on a regular schedule (depending on the newsletter), and occasionally send out special editions when we think subscribers might be particularly interested in something we are doing. We never share newsletter mailing lists with any third parties, including the advertisers that the voluntary information is used to assist.

We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you without breaching your privacy. For example, we track search terms entered generally by users in search functions to measure the interests of our users, but we don’t track which terms an individual enters.

Netball Fun creates aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns for advertisers, sponsors and partners. This allows our advertisers to advertise more effectively, and allows our users to receive advertisements that are tailored to their needs.

You, as a user, have a right to opt in or out of our services, wherever it is practical. Such choices include:

• Opting not to register to receive our electronic newsletters.
• Opting not to participate in certain interactive areas, thus completely removing the need to give any information about yourself at all.
• Once you have opted in to a service we provide, for instance to a forum or newsletter, you will always have the option to opt out.
